PEARLAND’S PICTURE POINT

We identified Picture Point as an opportunity for sports teams to celebrate their moments when they’re off the field in Pearland,” said Tracy Rohrbacher, Visit Pearland Executive Director. “Creating this new space also aligns with objectives in our Cultural Arts Master Plan in offering public art in the community for visitors and residents alike to enjoy.”

Situation

Pearland already attracted youth sports tournaments and traveling teams. Fields were full. Families filled the stands.

But when games ended, visitors simply left.

There was no moment that invited teams to celebrate, take photos, or share their experience online. Without a recognizable landmark, Pearland was missing an opportunity to extend the visitor experience — and its brand — beyond the playing field.

Visit Pearland partnered with Your-Type LLC to create a simple but powerful solution: a landmark designed to capture the excitement of tournament day.

Solution

Together, we designed a 7-foot custom 3D activation placed near one of the park’s highest-traffic gathering areas.

The goal was clear:

  • Create a landmark teams would naturally gather around

  • Encourage photos and social sharing

  • Build something durable enough for year-round outdoor use

  • Place it where visitors already pause between games

No staffing. No programming. Just a built-in moment that works every day.

Impact

The installation quickly became a focal point of the sports complex.

Teams celebrate victories there. Families gather between games. Visitors stop to take photos and share their experience.

Pearland didn’t just add signage.

They created a shareable experience that strengthens their brand and extends the impact of every event beyond the field.
