Situation

The Community College of Philadelphia (CCP) was preparing to unveil a bold new brand—one that reflected growth, opportunity, and its role as the city’s community college.

Rebranding is more than unveiling a new logo. CCP needed a way to introduce their new identity in a way that felt tangible, celebratory, and meaningful for students, faculty, alumni, and the broader Philadelphia community.

They needed something that could:

  • Bring the new brand to life physically

  • Create excitement and pride around the launch

  • Encourage engagement and photo sharing

  • Serve as a lasting campus landmark

They turned to Your-Type LLC.

Solution

The large “P” activation was designed as a meaningful reflection of the Community College of Philadelphia’s identity and deep connection to the city and students it serves.

  • Brand made physical: A dimensional centerpiece that turned abstract values into something students could gather around, touch, and photograph.

  • Portable by design: Engineered to move easily between multiple rebranding events, ceremonies, and campus locations, extending the impact of the launch.

  • Long-term value: Built to last as an outdoor-ready landmark, continuing to spark pride, photos, and engagement well beyond launch day..

Impact

The sculpture became a focal point of the launch and a lasting symbol of the College’s next chapter.

It delivered:

  • A memorable centerpiece for the rebrand celebration

  • A highly shareable moment for students and staff

  • A physical representation of CCP’s mission.
